Wrestlejones Camps

A proven system of success

The Jones family combined have won a total of 16 Team High School State Championships, and their wrestlers have combined to win 118 Individual State Titles.
At every WrestlejONEs event, camp, private session, or seminar, you'll learn from an increadible wrestling mentor: one of the Jones brothers. Every one of the Jones brothers, be it Rodney, Biff, Shawn, or, of course, Ernie, has achieved something special in the sport.

Spring Session

Now is the time to start making wrestling plans for the spring.

Being successful at wrestling is a continuous process. It is benefecial to find ways throughout the entire year to continue to improve. So many times we wrestle during the folkstyle season and make tremendous improvements. Then we don't step back on the mats untill the following season, and find ourselves spending the entire season trying to improve to just get back to where we were at the end of the year from the previous season.

Wrestlejones offers you year around training opportunities with individual sessions, small group sessions, spring freestyle/greco season, guest clinics and summer camps.

The wrestlejones spring session from March 26th - June 2nd will focus on freestyle and greco-roman. We will train in the Broken Arrow wrestling room three nights a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 6:00 - 7:30. All workouts will be directed by Rodney Jones.

Age divisions and weight classes can be found at this link

Wrestlers with experience at any age will be accepted.

Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays, March 26th - June 2nd
TIMES: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
COST: 3 nights a week - $135;
2 nights a week - $100;
1 night a week - $85;
Drop-in - $10 a night

I understand we are all doing different activities in the spring, and maybe your schedule doesn't allow for you to committ to three nights a week. I still would like you to consider making it when your schedule allows you to.

Location: Broken Arrow Wrestling Room

The session will be designed for experienced wrestlers of any age with the emphasis being strategies and techniques for both Freestyle and Greco-Roman with the understanding that the strategies and techniques required for Freestyle and Greco-Roman are the same fundamental strategies and techniques for folk-style. With various nuances differentiating each style from the other, the foundation and fundamentals required to be successful at any style are comprehensive.

Making the Transition from Folkstyle to Freestyle

If you are not familiar with freestyle and greco-roman, it's good to understand that wrestling is wrestling and one style always carrys over to another. I do believe both freestyle and greco are extremely beneficial to folkstyle. Competitions are available in the spring every Saturday if you are interested in competeing, but competition is not mandatory. I believe the spring is great time to spend more time on the mats with a focus on having fun and learning.

All the workouts will be organized and instructed by Coach Rodney Jones.

Coach Rod is committed to continuously learning and understanding the latest and most advanced techniques and training strategies to becoming a successful wrestler at every level and any style. With 2 years of coaching experience at every level from Division 1 college to youth. He has worked and mentored World and Olympic team members, NCAA Champions and All-Americans, High School State Champions and youth wrestlers.

Coach Rod will attend chosen local tournaments as well as the Southern Plains Regionals in Dodge City, KS June 1st and 2nd. USA Freestyle Schedule Link- Eventually USAOK Freestyle schedule.

You are not required to compete in tournaments unless you have the desire to do so.

All participants regardless if you choose to compete or not must purchase USA Wrestling Card membership (link) to participate in session.

You can make payment online or pay at the first workout March 26th. (Payment plans and options can be discussed individually.)
